MPK Viral DNA/RNA Extraction Kit is used for isolation of nucleic acid(NA) from nasopharyngeal swab, urine, genital swab specimen using automated NA extraction instruments. This makes the Extraction simple, rapid, and shows high sensitivity and specificity. It needs no requirements for specialized equipment or special knowledge and skills. The final nucleic acid is pure and easy to modify for various amplification techniques.

Principle of Extraction

The kit uses a unique magnetic bead and buffer system. The surface of the magnetic bead is modified with special chemical groups, which have extremely strong enrichment ability for DNA/RNA under certain conditions and can reversibly release DNA/RNA when the conditions are changed to rapidly separate and purify DNA/RNA and to remove impurities like proteins as far as possible. The extracted high-quality nucleic acids can be used for serial experiments like PCR, RT-PCR, gene sequencing, etc.

Application

The kit is suitable for extracting genomic nucleic acid DNA and RNA of bacteria, viruses and parasites from samples. It is designed for 96-well plate automatic platforms to help dramatically improve the throughput of sample extraction. It specifically works well for the solation of viral DNA/RNA(Respiratory disease-targeted) and Bacterial DNA(Sexually transmitted disease-targeted).
